Radiologists specialize in diagnosing and treating diseases and injuries using medical imaging techniques, such as, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound or x-rays. These highly detailed images provide our radiologists with information on a person’s anatomy and pathology to help them evaluate a wide range of patient conditions, including strokes, cancer and musculoskeletal disorders or injuries.
Like other specialized physicians, radiologists graduate from accredited medical schools, pass a licensing exam, and complete a residency of at least four years of specialized post-graduate medical education.
The trained radiologists at Southwest Diagnostic Imaging provide patients with the following services:
- MRI/MRA
- CT/CTA Scan
- X-Ray
- Ultrasound
- PET/CT
- Mammography
- Dexa
Radiologists are usually board certified by the American Board of Radiology; this indicates a high level of training, and experience in the field.
Radiological procedures are medically prescribed and should only be conducted by appropriately trained and certified physicians under medically necessary circumstances. For questions about radiology or to request an appointment, call 214-345-6905.
