Southwest Diagnostics offers superior imaging with four revolutionary large bore MRI machines. Large bore MRI machines help accommodate patients up to 550 lbs, and who may experience claustrophobia. Along with a large bore, SWDIC can further accommodate patients who suffer from claustrophobia by offering mild sedation given by a Registered Nurse.
Two 3 Tesla MRI Machines the Skyra and Vida offer the strongest magnetic field used for many applications including neurology, orthopedic, cardiology, breast, and prostate.
SWDIC has two 64 slice GE CT scanners that offer less time inside the scanner and less radiation exposure. Once the patient is on the table, most CT scans take bout 5-10 minutes.
If you’re in need of an ultrasound you have found it! Our ultrasound team provide patients with the care they need. Our sono machines? Have the most advanced technology to capture real-time images to facilitate your physician with a diagnosis. Our highly skilled technologists offer a wide variety of sono techniques from infancy
to geriatric ages.
Our specialty trained team have years of experience with breast health with dedicated breast radiologist and stat-of-the-art technology. Our breast specialist provides patients with a safe, comfortable environment where everyone
is treated as individuals and with respect and dignity.
Ultrasound is particularly useful when viewing the breast to view suspicious areas to determine solid tissue vs fluid filled tissue. Women who have dense breast may need an ultrasound in conjunction with a mammogram. If an area
of concern is found, our team along with your physician’s approval can offer Ultrasound guided breast biopsy to provide you an accurate diagnosis.
SWDIC has dedicated breast MRI equipment for patients who have had a diagnosis of breast cancer, considered high risk for breast cancer or may have suspicion of breast cancer. As a facility that believes in continuity of care, SWDIC also offers patients MRI guided breast biopsies at the request of your physician.
