Meet our Technical Division Employee of the Quarter:
Gail P / Mammographer – Gail has been a dedicated mammographer with SWDIC since 2004. She is always friendly, smiling and giving exemplary care to our mammogram patients is just natural for her. It is not uncommon to hear her infectious laughter coming through the exam door. She is makes her patients feel they are at SWDIC for more of a reunion with an old friend than a visit for their mammogram. Gail can be depended on to be punctual, efficient, and professional at all times. She is excellent with time management and organizational skills. She performs weekly QC testing with competence to maintain the highest quality standards demanded for MQSA. Gail is an outstanding team player and will assist her coworkers when needed and before being prompted to do so. It is a daily occurrence to hear her say, “I can do one more before I go.” Thank you Gail for who you are and all you do for your patients, coworkers, and SWDIC

2. What’s the most rewarding part of your job?
I am proud of my job, because mammograms are an efficient method to detect early breast cancer. I play a role in that process. I know what I do makes a difference in someone’s life. I love helping and meeting people of all different diversity. To see patients return each year for their mammogram makes me feel good about my job. My job may not always be easy, but it is always worth it, and I love it.
3. Cowboys, Rangers, or Mavericks?
Mavericks because I enjoy basketball
4. What’s #1 on your bucket list?
To retire one day in good health, and to enjoy retirement to the fullest!
5. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
Hawaii, because I would love to see all the beautiful islands and beaches.
6. What is your favorite food?
Anyone that knows me, knows that my favorite food is SEAFOOD. I am a real seafood lover, especially shrimp.
7. What would you do if someone gave you $100 today?
Sounds like a new outfit, yes honey!
8. What is your favorite color?
Yellow, because it is so cheerful and bright.
