Don R. / MRI –  Don does an outstanding job and works tirelessly researching and perfecting protocols.  He is friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and if he doesn’t know the answer to something, he will not stop until he gets an answer.  He does everything in his power to make sure that the technologists are able to perform the best scans possible in order to give the radiologists everything they need to do their reading.  His performance when it comes to our research studies is top notch and his peers and upper management notice his efforts and call him an outstanding employee!

What to Know About Coronary Artery Disease

Coronary artery disease causes a substance called plaque to build up inside the arteries of your body, restricting blood flow and putting you at risk for a future heart attack. This type of heart disease is the most common form of heart disease in the United States, accounting for nearly 400,000 deaths annually. Coronary artery disease can be diagnosed using coronary CT Angiography, a medical imaging technique that evaluates the flow of blood through your veins to look for areas of concern.

Preparing for a CT Scan

Has your physician recommended that you have a CT scan? If so, you may be unsure about what to expect. This video explains how you can prepare for a CT scan.

It is important to let your physician know if you have any conditions which may affect your eligibility for undergoing a CT scan. Pregnancy, claustrophobia, and allergies to contrast dye may all make you ineligible for getting a CT scan, so let your doctor know about any of these conditions before your appointment at the imaging center.
