Job Description

Southwest Diagnostic Imaging Center is looking for an experienced Patient Account Representative to join our billing department.

Ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years’ experience with healthcare billing claims including patient collections or any combination of education, training, and work experience within medical billing office.

Radiology experience a plus.

Candidate will need inbound and outbound call experience to handle patient and insurance provider calls to resolve pending claims by utilizing active listening skills, build rapport with callers, and has ability to ask probing questions to clear outstanding balances along with computer skills for on-line claim research and account updates.

Education:

Certifications/Licensure:

  • Must have Texas Medical Board (TMB)
  • Must have or be willing to obtain Health Provider CPR course certification from AHA.

Responsibilities:

  • Independently perform high quality CT examinations while providing exceptional patient care, Review physician orders and apply to CT protocols.

Job Description

This is a fast-paced, and challenging position, you’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide the highest level of care for our patients/family members. The Patient Care Coordinator’s primary purpose is to create an exceptional first experience for the patient.  Customer service is the number one priority.  Job duties also include consulting with patients and/or their representative to obtain personal/demographic information or verify information already on file, including contact, emergency numbers and insurance information. Document appropriate information in the computer system based upon department documentation standards.

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of experience; 1 year of Admitting experience preferred
  • High comfort level with computers
  • Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers

Job Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and visitors in a welcoming and helpful manner
